Rev. Dr. Steven Dennis Jones was born on May 28, 1943, in Washington, DC to Naomi Helen Jones. Steven was the first of two sons. At an early age, Steven was baptized at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Washington, DC. Each Sunday, after delivering newspapers, he attended Sunday School.
Steven graduated from McKinley Tech High School in 1961. After graduatin, he attended college and worked. During this time, he married his first wife, Juanita, and they had their son, Steven II.
Later, Steven moved to Atlanta, married Linda, and had two daughters, Zaneta and Stephanie. He found his first career job at Honeywell selling computers.
