Hannah Weedon Obituary

Hannah Emily Weedon, daughter of late Nathan and Estelle Williams, was born November 17, 1920, in Albemarle County, Virginia. She was one of nine siblings.  She graduated from Garnet Patterson High School in Washington, D.C., where she resided and later married Nelson R. Weedon (deceased). Hannah worked for Tyler Reweaving Company for several years, then she retired.

She was preceded in death by eight siblings Nellie Williams Woodson, Hugh Williams, Lewis Williams, Pearl Williams Perkins, Mitchell Williams, Elizabeth Williams Barrett, Birdia Williams Ates, and Algie John Williams.

Cherishing her memory is her two daughters, Sharon Jenkins and Jacqueline Jones. Hannah has five grandchildren, LaVerne Walker, April Jenkins, LaShelle Jenkins, Rasheda Dickerson, and Charlotte McCray, seven great-grandchildren, Eron Buggs, Khalif Buggs, Camron Hackett, Jasmine Spence, Christian Dickerson, Nasir Thomas, and Charlee Dickerson.

August, 1999 Hannah Weedon received Jesus Christ as her Lord Savior at Sandy Cove. She was a faithful member of Simpson-Hamline United Methodist Church where she was also a member of the Willing Workers, The United Methodist Women, Trustee Board, Brunch Committee. She maintained the landscaping of the church until her health restricted her.

On December 10, 2020, she went home to be with Lord after a long illness.

Hannah Weedon was truly loved and adored by her family and everyone she knew. She was a very giving person and would not hesitate to help if you needed anything.

Through all her suffering and pain, she still fought the battle, and the battle of life she has finally won.
