Lois Showell daughter of late Denard and Osha Bennett was born in Stockton, Md on April 13, 1912. She departed this life at her niece's home on November 18, 2020.
She was educated in the public schools of Worcester County, MD. She was united in Holy Matrimony with Elisha Showell on March 13, 1934 and lived in Washington DC over 60 years. She was employed at Maryland University and retired at the age of 90. She was a member of the DC Regional Christian Church. She enjoyed life to the fullest, spending time with family and friends, and enjoyed traveling to different places such as San Francisco, Barbados, and Bermuda with friends. Lois loved the Lord and was very compassionate, always willing to help someone, give much needed advice, and had plenty of wisdom.
She is predeceased by husband Elisha Showell, stepmother Ida Bennett, daughter Catherine Pussey, sister Eleanor Manuel, brothers Walter and Belford Bennett. She leaves to mourn son-in-law Joseph Pussey, nieces Constance Morgan (husband) James Morgan, Violet Henry, Marlene Wright, Jean Wise, and a host of great, great great, great great great nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be truly missed.
