Olivia Wiggins

Olivia Wiggins beloved mother and grandmother passed away on April 17, 2023 at 94 years of age.

 Olivia was born August 06, 1928 in Honea Path South Carolina to the late Bertha Lee Davis. She began her education in South Carolina and finished in Washington, DC within the public-school system. Olivia was employed at, and retired from, the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD. She married the late William Earl Wiggins and raised children Louise, Jean, Earl, Pam, Danny and Stanley. She was a devoted member of Greater New Hope Baptist Church before joining Pleasant Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Carlton R. Burns.

Olivia was the matriarch of her family and enjoyed spending time with loved ones, playing cards and eating Popeye’s chicken. As an avid gardener she loved flowers and working in her yard. She was unwaveringly loving, unapologetically blunt, endearingly bold and nothing short of an unforgettable soul.   

She was preceded in death by her mother Bertha, husband William, daughter Pam, son Earl, grandsons Michael and Brandon and a host of aunts & uncles.

She is survived by her children, Louise, Jean, Danny, and Stanley along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
