Velvet Grace Hutcherson

Velvet Grace Hutcherson, of Mars, PA, formerly of Washington D.C., died Sunday June 21, 2020. 
Velvet was born in Detroit, MI in 1936.  She is survived by her four children, Anastasia Lawrence of Texas, Kalv’a (Ray) Gaston of Maryland, Anita Hutcherson of Washington D.C. and Chaundo (Nicole) Hutcherson of Pittsburgh.  Also surviving are her grandchildren, Lanita Harvey, Christena Bostic, Michaelangelo Bostic, Eric Wagoner, Chyna, London, Dalinda and Sean Hutcherson as well as four great-grandchildren. 
The family wishes to thank the staff of St. John Lutheran Senior Life for taking exceptional care of Velvet in her final days.  

Friends and family will be received at the John T. Rhines Funeral Home  1505 Kenilworth Ave NE, Washington D.C. on Tuesday June 30th from 10 am to 12 pm.  A private burial will be at Fort Lincoln Cemetery 3401 Bladensburg Rd, Brentwood, MD 20722.
